I am still traveling on business, so this will be a short one. In this economy, most businesses are doing poorly, but a few are doing really well. Perhaps it is time to invest in their stocks, or buy an exchange traded fund (if one exists) that tracks these companies (do bear in mind that I am not a financial adviser, and am not giving you advice to buy anything). Profit making businesses that come to mind are:
- McDonald’s
- Wal-Mart
- Utilities
- Pharmaceutical Companies
- Hershey (they posted a huge profit recently!)
- Snuggies and ShamWow – I have no idea who makes these, but they must be doing well, because I keep on seeing their commercials every time I turn on the TV.
What did I miss? Do you know anyone else who is making profits now?
I am sure there must be other companies that are doing well.
In Australia there has been a big rise in the sales of computer games because people are staying home and playing games rather than going out.

Yeah, I can totally see that. I have replaced a lot of my movie watching with XBox gaming recently.
